The International Lithium Association (ILiA), the voice of the global lithium industry, and RECHARGE (the European Association of the Advanced Rechargeable & Lithium Batteries), have agreed to work together on a range of shared interests including the European Commission’s proposal to reclassify lithium salts.
The move is part of ILiA’s strategy to develop a global network of partner-organisations through which the voice of the lithium industry can be amplified.
“This is the lithium century and it is imperative that we all work together to ensure that high quality lithium continues to be produced sustainably and responsibly”, said Anand Sheth, Founding Chairman of ILiA. “Joining important regional bodies and benefitting from their local expertise is a key part of our strategic development”, he added.
