INLiSa Launches RFI for Lithium & Salars Technology Pilot Platform

INLiSa is a new non-profit initiative created by the Chilean government to support the development of lithium production in Chile

The National Institute for Lithium and Salars (INLiSa) has opened a global Request for Information (RFI) to support the design of Chile’s upcoming Lithium & Salars Technology Pilot Platform.

The initiative aims to create a neutral, pre-competitive environment where technology developers, research institutions and industry partners can test and validate lithium-related processes using authentic brines from Chilean salars.

The platform will offer modular piloting infrastructure, analytical capabilities, environmental and regulatory support, and access to a curated brine catalogue. INLiSa is seeking input across a broad range of areas, including Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE), advanced brine processing, sensor and materials technologies for high-salinity environments, digitalisation, and circular-economy solutions.

The RFI is open to national and international entities interested in contributing to the development of a world-class piloting ecosystem.
